Competing, Competition and rewards

United States Kingfish Organization (USKO), wants to make everyone involved with their tournaments feel as though they are a part of the organization in one sense or another with there involvement.  We want everyone to feel their team has a chance of winning on a level playing field.  No matter what size boat, how many motors, etc. you will still have the ability to compete.  With the tournaments being an aggregate (2 fish weighed in), the USKO does not feel this format is putting anymore pressure on the species.  Just last month we heard of up to 10,000 lbs. of Kingfish coming into the wholesale fish market everyday, so we feel we can justify our tournament format.  We’ve seen many good size fish come to the scale that have a chance of placing, until they hear a much larger fish has or will be coming to the scale. With that format, many fish which have been taken during the tournament are never entered into the competition by weighing inWith the aggregate format you have a total of 2 fish to help improve you odds of placing in the money.  We feel a BIG fish is a LUCKY fish.  We all know that everyone has a chance to catch a LUCKY fish, but with a 2 fish total weight they have to prove more than luck.  It’s about having the experience of having a chance.

Competition

The concept of our format is the idea of generating interest so that weekend warriors can become die hard competing fishing teams. So we needed to look at classifications that would attract fishermen from all walks.

We have 3 classes:                                                                                                                              1st - Single Engine Class, any size boat that consists of only one engine, no matter what the LOA is.

2nd - Open Class, any boat with a minimum twin engines, to the limits of a boat manufacturing specifications

3rd - Elite Class, anyone wanting and with the ability to compete on a higher level for a BIG payoutThis class is open to anyone that feels the need to fish hardcore

We believe with our format of classifications, everyone can find their nitch.

Rewards

We are giving up to 75% net CASH payback on our tournaments.  Almost every competing fisherman we have spoken with has complained about the fact of winning a prize instead of cash. So we have stepped up and are giving what everyone wants, a bigger payback and its CASH.

We want every team to have the best experience imaginable while competing in our tournaments.  Even if you don’t place in one of the tournaments, we still want you to have the ultimate experience and feel you are part of something bigger.  On top of that you are giving back to your community for the betterment of challenged athletes who wish nothing more than to compete themselves.  It’s the competitors that will make this organization successful.

Our Port Canaveral tournament is fast approaching and we look forward to this tournament being a huge success to benefit Brevard Special Olympics Florida. We have even made the entry fee very affordable and will even have a Tournament Within a Tournament (TWT). This way you have the possibility of winning money back and more.

Our new forum will be up and running this month so keep checking back. This will be YOUR site!

More information to come; stay tuned………….
