When considering a career one of the last things people consider is how dangerous that career is.  Someone might say oh I want to be a soldier or a doctor. May be a teacher or a fisherman like my dad.
Actually I ended up, for a while in a dangerous job, without even considering I was in one. I went to university7 and studied geology and got a job in the city of London for an oil company, and going on an oil rig was part and parcel of the job. It was only on my first helicopter flight to a rig in a howling gale and trying to get of the helipad on the rig that I said to myself,
”Hey this is not so cool”

These day more people are taking out private health plans and getting treatment in privately owned hospitals. To an extent this has raised the bar as to what is acceptable and what is not.
